Sebastien's Academy of Pet Training & Etiquette

Obedience Courses:

Preschool (10 wks – 6 mos)
Positive reinforcement training is ideal for you and your puppy.
You will learn how to better understand your puppy while learning basic dog language through socialization.
The fundamentals of basic obedience: sit, down, stay, leave it, come & walking on a loose leash will be taught.
House training & crate training is included in the lesson plan to help prevent common behavior problems.
Upon completion of this class puppies will be eligible to test for the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy certification.
Puppies must have the first two series of puppy shots with a Bordetella.

Elementary School (7 months – adult)
This course will cover the fundamentals of basic obedience: sit, down, stay, leave it, come & walking on a loose leash.

You will have the opportunity to socialize & work on behavior problems common with the juvenile period of canine development.

Prep School
If your dog has mastered basic obedience skills, with this course you and your dog will learn the advanced skills of heeling, park it, stand, recall with sit front and stay.
Off leash work & socialization with games will be sure to make this course a rewarding experience for both you and your dog.

University Studies
This advance course teaches the 10 elements for completing the AKC Canine Good Citizen Certification through positive reinforcement.

Upon completion of the course, you and your dog will be eligible to test for the AKC CGC certification.

Electives:

Dancing with the Dogs
In this course, you will receive detailed instructions on performing the 20 basic canine freestyle dance moves.
6 circle moves
6 flashy moves
8 parallel moves.
Fun for you and your dog, even those with four left paws and two left feet.

Fundamental Fitness with Fido
On walks do you wonder who’s walking whom?
While walking outdoors at The Meadows, you & your canine partner will learn commands for real life.
Dogs will learn self control while out on walks and when approached by people as well as other dogs.
You and your canine must have skills equivalent to a basic obedience course.

Pet-provided Therapy Training
You and your canine companion will learn special skills required for becoming a certified therapy team with Touch of Love, a chapter of Love on a Leash.

Trick Dogs
While teaching 8 different tricks you will explore many methods of achieving success.
Clickers, target sticks, along with positive motivation will provide activities to bond, motivate and interact with your dog.
This course provides a constructive way for all dogs to channel their energy in a fun and safe way.
